1. General

a) Your commitment to these Terms & Conditions in all interactive situations, will help to create a more positive enviroment for all our users. To keep RateAFace both fun and safe, all members must abide by our terms of service. The RateAFace Terms & Conditions apply to only RateAFace.com.

2. Data

a) RateAFace assumes no responsibility or liability for any material posted by it's users. RateAFace acts as meerly a tool for individuals to partipate in a community built around the features we (RateAFace) create.
No user may publish, post, distribute, or disseminate defamatory, infringing, obscene, or other unlawful material or information. Images and other forms of media, such as video messaging may not contain nudity or scenes of a pornographic nature. Anyone caught doing so may be banned from RateAFace and information may be passed onto law enforcements. RateAFace is for individuals of 16 and over, you must be at least 16 to join the site. If a moderator feels that a user is under this age, the user's account may be suspended untill proof of age is supplied.

b) RateAFace is not responsible for any content or images lost while being hosted on RateAFace. RateAFace reserves the right to remove at any time, without notice or explanation, any member account or user-created service or any particular posting that violates these Terms & Conditions.

c) External links added to RateAFace within a user’s profile are not the responsibility of RateAFace. Any damage caused or offensive material published is the result of the account user.

d) RateAFace is not to be used for commercial promotion or advertising, unless paid for through RateAFace contracting. "Spam" is forbidden on any part of RateAFace. RateAFace reserves the right to ban a user at any time, without notice, from any or all services for spamming. Any space provided to you by RateAFace is for your own company/organisation/personal use. You may not sell, license, exchange or barter any space provided to you.

e) All content that a member publishes to their profile (including text, pictures and videos) is considered to be part of the public domain and the Internet. It is not possible to control or monitor against the theft any element that goes to make up your profile and as such you should be aware that any information or content that you post is freely available to the public. RateAFace is not responsible for any theft or infringement resulting directly or indirectly from the use of the RateAFace services.

f) RateAFace reserves the right to change any parts of the site or user subbmitted information.

g) Information is collected from the user in order for us (RateAFace) to generate a personal profile for the user. Information such as name, age, gender, location and additional data the user provides at their own choosing is collected and saved to our server(s) in the United States and/or the United Kingdom. Users are able to remove any and all data at any time from their account control panel.
Account removal will remove all data stored on the user's behalf, with exception to data relevant to security concerning user data posting (such as internet protocal address).

h) Any data, of any form, posted by the user in public or private, ie. private messages, can be accessed and examined by a RateAFace staff member if he or she feels there is either a problem or security threat with the user, or the user has asked for assistance that requires investigation. Moderators are logged when accessing user account information, and stict rules are in place.

i) All data entered onto RateAFace will remain on RateAFace securly untill changed or removed by the user. Due to the competitive nature of this website, accounts can not be deleted, only deactivated. But the data they contain can be removed/changed 100%.

3. Images

a) By uploading an image, you are agreeing to owning rights, or have permission to use the image being uploaded. All members are governed by the law of their country. Any racist or offensive images may be deleted from the system. Obscene, lewd, violent, harassing, sexually explicit or otherwise objectionable content will be removed. See below for what is allowed.

b) Images “stolen” or taken from RateAFace profiles, rating pages, or any other RateAFace.com web-page, is not the responsibility of RateAFace, and no security is supplied to stop browsers from copying images.

c) All images uploaded are entirely the choice of the user, and by uploading an image they give RateAFace the right to publish, save and use images for the relative features on RateAFace.com. If an image is to be used for promotional purposes, the owner of the image will be asked for permission.

d) All images uploaded are “watermarked” with a RateAFace logo. This process can not be undone.

e) Image upload rules. "You" being the uploader of an image.

• You, and any person(s) included in the image are, or over, the age of 16.
• You state that the image is of you, or you and others and any other person in the image give you permission for use their face(s) online.
• You state that you have the direct permission to use and/or distribute the image.
• Images may be sexually provocative, to a point, but images which contain nudity will be removed. If images are removed due to nudity/sexual content, it is up to the moderator viewing the image.
• Images become available to all RateAFace members instantly after upload. If you see an image that is not suitable, please report it.
• You have the ability to, at any time, delete your images from our website and server(s).

4. Behavior

a) RateAFace encourages friendly behaviour and an inviting atmosphere. Users who we feel are annoying or offending other users may be warned or banned from RateAFace. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other members. RateAFace reserves the right, but has no obligation, to monitor disputes between you and other members.

b) If a staff member is concerned over a user's behaviour, they are able to examine data posted by the user, and contact the user concerning any problems they may be causing, or have got them selfs into.

c) Falsely impersonating a RateAFace staff member, agent, manager, host, or any other person with the intent to mislead or cause harm to others is forbidden.

5. Cheats / Software

a) Cheats, including but not limited to, software and scripts to increase your rating unfairly are not tolerated. Using such methods or another with similar result will result in account reset, lock, or in extreme cases a ban.

6. User Account Upgrades

a) All account upgrades are non transferable and apply to 1 member account only. This is the account from which the product or subscription was purchased. All premium services are non refundable.
RateAFace reserves the right to add, remove or amend any feature or service at any time without notice, explanation or liability without limitation. This includes when legal tender has been used. RateAFace reserves the right to increase or reduce the price of any premium service without explination or warning.

b) Exchanging real world money for RateAFace Credits is a one way transaction and can not be refunded.

7. Responsibilities / Rights

a) RateAFace will not be held reponsible for any technical malfunction or phyiscal faults relating to the users computer system or other equiptment and applications relating to this. Under no circumstances shall RateAFace be held respsonsible for damages in mental health, injury or death relating to our services, events or sponsored events.

b) RateAFace reserves the right to immediately terminate or suspend access to any service for violations of our Terms & Conditions or no reason at all.

c) RateAFace also reserves the right to amend or change the Terms & Conditions at any time without notice. You agree to periodically review this document to ensure you are doing your part.

8. End Notes

It's just a bit of fun! RateAFace urges you to understand its features and services are intended for entertainment only. Taking this website too seriously would be foolish! If you feel upset or threatened at any time, either contact our support staff or discontinue using our site.

ALSO, PLEASE REMEMBER: If you arrange to meet up with another Internet user, always tell your friends and family/gaurdians where you are going, or even better – take a friend with you. Let people know where you are going and who you are meeting. Always meet in a public place. Do not be afraid to walk away if you feel uncomfortable. People are not always who they seem to be over the Internet.
